As a technology systems designer/ engineer, you will support the design efforts on a wide range of projects. Individuals in this position must demonstrate the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects, working in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team. This role will assist in the development of construction documents for the procurement and installation of technology systems; including Revit drawings and book specifications.


  • Understand and promote the ISG brand and vision, including cross-selling services.

  • Represent ISG, work closely with and interact efficiently with the internal multi-disciplinary design team as well as external clients when necessary (including owners, builders, developers, program managers, vendors, etc.).
  • Develop specifications, system narratives and system layouts for a variety of projects and project sizes.
  • Utilize industry technical standards and best practices.
  • Assist with QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) review on projects led by other engineers.
  • Assist with budgeting, bid analysis and leveling activities.
  • Provide on-site coordination with the project team, including client representatives, construction managers, general contractors and subcontractors.
  • Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects, including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports.
  • Assist senior project staff in processing RFI's, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda.
  • Conduct field inspections to determine existing conditions and to coordinate new work.


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Engineering or Technical discipline or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 4 to 10 years of Telecom, Audio-Visual, and/or security design experience in a variety of markets including Corporate, Education, Industrial, Government, Healthcare, Sports and Recreation, and more.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • General knowledge of Wi-Fi network systems, and structured cabling design.
  • General working knowledge of Audio-visual system design concepts.
  • General knowledge of electronic security systems (ESS).
  • Experience in Revit, Revit 360 preferred.
  • Certification such as RCDD, PMP, PSP, CPP or CTS, a plus
  • A passion for design and project implementation.
  • Self-directed and can work both independently and collaboratively.
