ISG is excited to bolster our team with a passionate Assistant Project Manager in our La Crosse office. Applicants should have an enthusiasm for architecture, engineering, and construction design. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be an ISG Employee Owner working collaboratively with your fellow employee owners. You will be a member of a fully integrated team, working with fellow ISGers to develop creative solutions. Noted as an Emerging Professional Friendly firm by the AIA, this role provides immense opportunities to learn and strengthen skills, lead, and assist team members with the development and design of projects.

Your home office will be out of our La Crosse location, which is intentionally located downtown. It offers one the best views of the Mississippi River and accessibility to our favorite happy hour spots like Turtle Stack Brewery and The Crow.

Your direct supervisor would be Ryan Welke, a project manager, architect, and biking enthusiast. Lately he's been working with clients like Terex, who recently opened their 415,000 square foot facility in Watertown South Dakota. Additionally you would support Nick Ellenberger and Kevin Bills. Nick leads ISG's Food + Industrial business unit, while Kevin primarily focuses on PreK-12, and Cultural + Community Gathering.   • 2+ years of relevant architecture, engineering, or construction experience.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills -- this is an important one!
  • Possess an ownership mentality.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time to other ISG offices, client sites, or trainings.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft 365 family products.


  • Schedule, run, and maintain progress following initial kick off meetings lead by the project lead, project manager, or architect. Own the meeting minutes and follow up with action items.
  • Field any project related questions and organization for discussions with project lead.
  • Responsible for organizing, communicating, and combining progress set of documents. Understand timelines and work with project lead to determine game plan.
  • Assist with construction administration by coordinating shop drawings, RFI's, etc.
  • Roll with the punches, be ready to adapt to changes, and raise your hand to support the project and your teammates.
