JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for supporting and contributing to a variety of tasks, while being a creative, eager, and accountable team player. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Collect quality field survey data specific to each project and task
  • Prepare field drawings and high quality notes of each project in the field book in accordance with company and general survey standards
  • Become familiar with all of the provided survey hardware (Trimble, Leica, Topcon, etc.)
  • Assemble all instruments and measuring devices needed to complete various types of work assignments
  • Provide positive client / public relations as individuals are encountered in the field
  • Be accountable to other members of the team to complete assigned tasks and recognize performance of team members
  • Produce work using computer aided design / drafting hardware and software
  • Work on several projects at one time
  • Field measure and document existing buildings
  • Produce and coordinate construction drawings with other disciplines

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working towards a 2-year Civil Engineering Technician, Survey Technician, or 4-year Civil Engineering degree from an accredited university
  • Ability to work 10-20 hours a week during Fall 2017 semester
  • AutoCAD familiarity
  • Strong communication, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel out of town for projects
  • Comfortable working in a variety office and outdoor environments
