ISG's Communications Specialist position is a critical, fast-paced, detail oriented, highly organized role that is focused on consistent project related communication with ISG clients. This position is responsible for collaborating with and supporting ISG's markets to ensure that clients are consistently informed of project progress, project communication is mapped out and organized, and additional client efforts are capitalized on throughout the relationship. Most importantly, this position ensures that the firm is operating to our five core principles of being eager, responsive, accountable, creative, and ingenious.


  • Act as lead coordinator for client related project management documents, with direct collaboration from project management team, which includes managing overall client and market communication calendar defining key communication points, tactics and pieces to support such efforts, and plan for delivery.
  • Identify templates and resources needed to support communication efforts, working directly with marketing department to develop as needed.
  • Lead and own accountability related efforts outlined in communication calendar which may include weekly status updates, meeting minutes, activity reports, surveys, client engagement initiatives (i.e. gifts, award coordination, press, etc.) and other general communication in coordination with project management and market team, and marketing department.
  • Coordinate production of printed communication, awards, gifts, and other external pieces with marketing and administrative support staff as needed.
  • Manage and maintain electronic file system for client communication within established project folder structure.
  • Manage client satisfaction surveys and reference repository, along with firm and market reporting, identifying areas of opportunity and emphasis on a consistent basis.
  • Identify opportunities to increase direct client engagement and satisfaction to build stronger relationships, working with project management and market team, and/or marketing department to execute upon approval.
  • Provide communication activity reports on a consistent basis, identifying areas of opportunity and on-time/quality overview.


Technical Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in communications, marketing, or related field with at least two years of experience in a professional communications role. A/E experience is helpful, but not required. Project management certification would be considered a benefit.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign for content entry and edits.
  • Attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Ability to craft positive and informative messages while following brand and firm tone.
  • Exceptional grammar, punctuation, and general writing abilities.
  • Detail oriented person with ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to positively connect with internal team members with a strategic approach to all interactions.
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements related to client information and project details.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter with hands on approach that emphasizes being responsive, eager, accountable, creative, and ingenious in every interaction.
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week.
