Civil Engineer - Transportation

ISG's Civil Designer plays an integral role in the multi-disciplinary team by assisting in the engineering design of client facilities and projects.   • Drafting in the design and construction of public work and private client facilities and projects.
  • Prepare drawings, documents, details, schedules or specifications using programs such as AutoCAD, Civil3D and Arc View GIS.
  • Provide assistance on construction administration projects as an inspector ensuring compliance of specifications, drawings, standards and code.
  • Assist with construction survey field work.
  • Become certified in materials testing through WisDOT Highway Technician Certification Program (HTCP)
  • Perform civil engineering calculations; prepare engineering plans, designs & reports.
  • Serve as a liaison with clients, government and regulatory authorities and contractors.
  • Develop and enhance client relationships and business growth.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Past WisDOT construction administration experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of WisDOT construction and design standards are a plus.
  • Familiarity with local, state and federal government processes, including WisDOT are a plus.
  • Working experience with transportation or site project design using Civil3D is a plus.
  • Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel throughout the northeast region of Wisconsin and to other office locations.
